A New Chapter for Street Business School

Written by Evan Cauble Johnson

Today, we are thrilled to share that the Board of Directors of Street Business School has unanimously voted to appoint Evan Cauble-Johnson as our Chief Executive Officer, transitioning him from his role as Acting CEO to CEO. This marks an important moment in the life of our organization and a powerful affirmation of continuity, momentum, and mission-driven growth.

Since joining SBS in late 2021, Evan has worked alongside our global team to advance SBS’s vision of empowering women living in deep poverty through entrepreneurship training as Director of Philanthropy, Chief Operating Officer, and most recently over the last year as Acting CEO.

But this moment isn’t just about one individual; it’s about the collective strength and dedication of the Street Business School team and our partners. Over the past several years, this team, small in size but bold in impact, has reached thousands of women each year with a proven, scalable model that builds confidence, skills, and opportunity. Our Board’s decision reflects confidence not just in leadership titles but in the rigor, resilience, and joy that this community brings to its work every day.

We look ahead with optimism. The early months of 2026 have already shown exciting momentum: big graduation celebrations, new partnerships, and compelling stories of transformation that continue to remind us why this work matters.

Under Evan’s leadership, and thanks to the stewardship of our dedicated team and partners, we are poised to expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and deepen our impact in the years to come. As we step into this next chapter, we remain guided by one simple belief: that when women are equipped with the tools to build sustainable livelihoods, families and communities flourish.
Here’s to what’s next, rooted in purpose, powered by partnership, and driven by the women we serve.
