One Final Step To Strengthen Our Impact For The Year Ahead
Written by Evan Cauble-Johnson, CEO, Street Business School
As we approach the end of Street Business School’s fiscal year on June 30, I find myself reflecting on what is possible when people come together with a shared belief: that every woman deserves the opportunity to build a better future for herself and her family.
This year, because of supporters like you, thousands of women around the world have taken meaningful steps out of poverty through entrepreneurship. They have started businesses, increased their incomes, strengthened their families, and gained the confidence that comes from creating opportunities where few existed before.
Today, we have one final goal before the fiscal year closes.
We are working to raise $100,000 to begin fiscal year 2026-2027 from a position of strength. Every dollar raised in the coming weeks will be invested directly into our programs next year, helping us expand our impact and reach even more women with the tools they need to achieve financial independence.
Your support will help Street Business School train more than 500 women in Uganda through our Kampala-based programs next year. It will also help us reach thousands more entrepreneurs globally through our growing network of certified partners who deliver the SBS methodology in communities around the world.
One area of particular focus is our work with refugee populations in Uganda. Uganda hosts one of the largest refugee populations in the world, and many women arrive having lost nearly everything. Through entrepreneurship training, they gain practical skills, renewed confidence, and a pathway toward economic self-reliance.
The results are remarkable. Across our programs, graduates more than double their income on average. Just as importantly, they report greater financial independence, increased confidence, and a stronger belief in their ability to shape their own futures.
As we close this fiscal year, I invite you to be part of what comes next. Your gift today will help ensure that hundreds of women in Uganda—and thousands more around the world—have the opportunity to build businesses, generate income, and create lasting change for their families.
Thank you for believing in the power of entrepreneurship to end poverty.
