Street Business School Appoints Evan Cauble-Johnson as Acting CEO
Street Business School’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Evan Cauble-Johnson as Acting CEO, effective immediately. This transition comes as we thank and honor Deepti Mathew for her leadership and service, following her departure earlier this year. Deepti played an important role in guiding Street Business School through a period of transformation and impact, and we are grateful for her dedication to our mission.
Evan Cauble-Johnson is no stranger to the Street Business School community. He has been an integral part of our leadership team since 2021, serving most recently as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Evan oversaw global operations, finance, and strategic partnerships, playing a central part in growing our organizational infrastructure and ensuring that our systems are aligned with our core values of empowerment, dignity, and equity.
With a professional background that bridges nonprofit innovation, social entrepreneurship, and international development, Evan brings both experience and heart to the role of Acting CEO. Prior to joining Street Business School, he served in a variety of leadership roles at mission-driven organizations focused on education, community development, and global impact. His career reflects a deep commitment to scaling grassroots change and building resilient, people-centered institutions.
Colleagues and partners alike know him for his strategic mind, his collaborative spirit, and his unwavering belief in the power of women to transform their lives and communities through business.
Evan steps into this role with the full support of our Board and leadership team. He will work closely with staff, global partners, and funders to continue advancing SBS’s vision: a world where women living in poverty have the confidence and skills to become entrepreneurs and change-makers.
“I’m honored to serve as Acting CEO of Street Business School,” Evan shared. “I’ve seen firsthand how our model unlocks possibility and pride for women around the world, and I’m excited to lead our team in this next chapter. Together with our incredible partners and supporters, we will continue to grow our impact while staying grounded in the communities we serve.”
The Board has great confidence in Evan’s ability to lead Street Business School with clarity, care, and purpose during this interim period.
As we look to the future, we remain as inspired as ever by the women we serve—and as committed as ever to building an inclusive, sustainable pathway out of poverty. With Evan’s leadership and your continued partnership, we are entering this new phase with energy, focus, and optimism.
