WELCOME, DEEPTI MATHEW, SBS’ NEW CEO

Dear Friends,

We at Street Business School are so very pleased to welcome Deepti Mathew as our new Chief Executive Officer!

Deepti brings over 24 years of experience helping leading organizations build the mindsets, systems, and processes necessary to achieve scale and impact. Deepti is the ideal person to lead SBS in the next chapter for three important reasons:

1. SBS is poised to grow tremendously in the next five years, and Deepti brings deep experience leading this kind of growth, both from her background as a management consultant, but also as a leader with NGOs who are rapidly scaling.

2. Deepti has a strong conviction that women are key to changing the world and has centered women in her academic studies, as well as her organizational strategies.

3. As a woman from the Global South who is currently based in Dakar, Senegal, Deepti has the lived experience to ground SBS’ work in the needs of the people we serve.

Deepti will transition into her role with SBS in January. Devin will work to thoughtfully onboard Deepti throughout the month, ensuring a smooth transition. Devin will then take on the role of SBS Board Member Emeritus, remaining deeply engaged in the organization she founded and loves.

We are all incredibly excited to welcome Deepti to the team. Onward to reach 1 million women!

Devin, Barbara, and the entire SBS Team and Board of Director
